What is Ansible:
Ansible is a great bit of open source software that allows us to be able to easily automate things that would often be a pain to do. It can deal with configuration management, application deployment, task automation and even IT orchestration.
The best part is that it is agentless... Leveraging the use of SSH to connect to remote devices.
Assuming you have a fresh install of Ubuntu 16:04 we will need to run a few commands to install Ansible.
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install software-properties-common $ sudo apt-add-repository --yes --update ppa:ansible/ansible $ sudo apt-get install ansible
These commands will get you up and running in no time. If you are running a different operating system check out the Ansible Docs for more information.
